Training programme on Entrepreneurship and culinary Skill Development
The real empowerment of women will happen when they equally participate in the existing market. An empowered women is the strongest crusader of social and economic change.
In its endeavor to serve a larger number of youths especially the women, since last decade Ekta Foundation an NGO based out of Delhi, promote the concept of micro-entrepreneurship models. As the first step to achieve this goal in New Delhi, Ekta Foundation has launched a week-long training program followed by 4 month of handholding support to 50 women entrepreneurs under assistance from Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Delhi Regional Office. SIDBI is the Principal financial institution for financing and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as well as it undertakes developmental activities for promoting entrepreneurship. SIDBI PMU (GT) facilitated Ekta Foundation in organizing the programme to promote women micro-entrepreneurship in Delhi. The training would focus on culinary skill development and promote micro-entrepreneurship among women in Uttam Nagar and nearby area. Ekta Foundation is implementing the programme and will provide handholding support in credit connect, market linkages to make these entrepreneurs sustainable.
The Launch ceremony was attended by Shri Vinay Ku Mongia, Sub Divisional Magistrate- Dwarka, New Delhi, Shri SR Meena, General Manager, SIDBI, Shri Naveen Kotiya, CO- NULM South West Delhi, Shri R K Singh, Special Guest, Lead Bank Manager, SBI, South West Delhi, Anijit Bhattacharya and Sandeep Sharma from SIDBI PMU (GT) and members of Ekta Foundation.
